This bit is excellent for a horse with a soft mouth. The gag cheek provides elevation in the shoulders. All of these bits should be adjusted to fit with one wrinkle in the horse's mouth and a loose curb strap to allow 2-3 fingers. This mouthpiece will apply more palate and bar pressure and is an excellent all purpose mouthpiece. Sweet Iron and copper inlay promotes salivation which stimulates and softens the horse's mouth making it more responsive.
