The Full Cheeks – with bit keepers – will hold the bit stiller in the mouth, but the twisted cannons and flat edged copper nut can be sharp and produce a strong action. 

A single jointed bit with straight arms and flat copper rollers to stimulate increased salivation. Care should be taken in use as the combination of a relatively fine mouthpiece, single-joint, and fixed cheek can result in a rather strong effect.

The Dr. Bristol plate or link is flatter than a French Link and set at a different angle. The Gag Cheeks enable a severe action, lifting the lips upwards and pulling down on the poll at the same time.

A single-jointed mouthpiece with a safe layer of best quality Vulcanite on each cannon. This offers some cushioning but increases the mouthpiece thickness. Ensure that the horse can comfortably accommodate a thicker mouthpiece.

A straight, ported mouthpiece covered in the highest quality Vulcanite rubber. The port is designed to offer more tongue room, but care should be taken to ensure the mouth can comfortably accommodate a thicker mouthpiece.
